Our curriculum design for music at primary school, centered around the Charanga program, aims to foster a deep appreciation for music while developing essential skills in performance, composition, and listening. Charanga’s engaging resources encourage creativity and selfexpression through diverse musical genres and cultural traditions, allowing students to explore their interests and talents.
Collaborative activities promote teamwork and communication, while individual projects build confidence and autonomy. Music theory is integrated throughout, helping children grasp the foundations of music. By providing opportunities for performance, we celebrate achievements and enhance public speaking skills. Ultimately, our goal is to create a joyful environment where every child feels empowered to engage with music.
